Nifty October 2008 futures were at 3295, at a premium of 15.05 points as compared to spot closing of 3279.95. NSE's futures & options (F&O) segment turnover was Rs 48,279.24 crore, which was lower than Rs 57,666.95 crore on Wednesday, 8 October 2008.

Infosys Technologies October 2008 futures were at discount at 1215 compared to the spot closing of 1225.20.

NTPC October 2008 futures were at discount at 164.80 compared to the spot closing of 165.25.

State Bank of India (SBI) October 2008 futures were at discount at 1332.30 compared to the spot closing of 1352.50.

In the cash market, the S&P CNX Nifty lost 233.70 points or 6.65% at 3279.95.
